"Jakimowski’s film would not possess such convincing charm without a little dose of visual seduction that is well suited to the atmosphere (which makes the viewer want to stay in his seat for a while after the film is over) and plays especially on the images bathed in perpetual sunlight..."

--Cineuropa

Framed stylistically and imbued with earthy tones of amber, rich contrasts of lighting, the film is warm and inviting. Marvelous performances by the cast and young Stefek takes us knowingly along and steals the show.

The commuter reminds the boy of his father. What could possibly happen? Not since the Losey film The Go-Between has matchmaking been handled so deftly. Add to strong direction, regal cinematography by Adam Bajerski, as well as a marvelous soundtrack by Tomasz Gassowski, and the audience has a film that's as delightful and painful as youth and longing.
